A buck 12? Are you guys getting it straight from Sable Island? Out here on the extreme left coast it's $1.21. IIRC that was the price of gas in Seoul in 2000.

Congrats on the repatriation, mindmetoo. I had no idea you were a Canadian.

Yeah, I'm the worst kind of Canuck. Ontario Canuck.

Well, I put you in the same category as Gord Downie...you might be from the heartland, but you're still pretty great in my books.

Well now that we know the price of gasoline in Canada, can someone please inform us of the price of tea in China?

(No, the job did not fall through. You might have a hard time believing but when you've been out of Canada for 8 years, there's a lot of stuff to do. Pass three drivers license tests, get your car back on the road, get a good insurance rate, get your plates, get an apartment in Toronto.

You are not the only one who has to gone through this. I had to do most of that (minus the apartment) when I went back for a visit (for a month). It really isn't that complicated if you plan ahead.

Ahh, so the job is based on a friendship and not on qualifications. I guess you lucked out on that one (if it pans out)

Former employer. You do good work for people. They want to hire you again. Maybe you don't grasp that.

4 in Seattle. 4 in Korea.

Anyway, it is clear I make you feel small. Sorry you're outclassed.

Gas has slipped below $1 in some places in Ontario. I filled up at $1.02 a liter a few days ago and I almost want to drive around so I can go back to the pump, top up, and experience the novelty again of seeing the liter gauge ring up a number higher than the price gauge.

I've been working/living in Fort Mac for 5 months now. The price of gas was $1.39 when I first arrived; it's down to $1.12 today. I believe we're the highest in the country now; at least that's what they're saying on the radio every morning... although I can't imagine we're any higher than some places in the Territories or Labrador.

10 cents a litre in Venezuela when I was there a few years ago ... no wonder they love that crazy Chavez!

Never saw so many running 70's and 80's gas guzzlers driving around like that before. Very Happy

It's 1.16 in St. John's at the moment and according to a friend it's 1.24 in Labrador City, so no, Fort Mac doesn't have the most expensive gas. Besides, I'm guessing there's enough gas fumes in the air up around the camps that you could run a small car on them.

It's around 93.4 (something like that - I don't drive) in Ottawa/Hull right now. I think it's the cheapest in Canada.
