I have been put in charge of putting together a video montage for my brother and his fiancee next year for the reception dinner.

I know that the slideshow is going to start with pictures of her as a kid, then pictures of him as a kid. Then pictures of them after they met up until present day.

I need to pick three songs and I am having trouble deciding. Most suggestions I get are either too corny or outright ridiculous. Brother wants the song from Old School, but of course his fiancee wants something a little more heartfelt. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Well, music is pretty personal but I do have a few suggestions for songs. I think they would fit this sort of occasion and aren't overly sappy (a la Celine Dion). The last song is the most upbeat.

The first song is mostly bang on with the lyrics except for the last bit...but if your pictures are funny enough, people probably won't be paying too much attention to those anyway. Good luck!

Of course some songs seem corny if you're not in love!

Try:

Lionel Richie's "Stuck on You"

Aerosmith's "I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing"

Adam Sandler's "Grow Old With You"

In My Life by the Beatles is pretty popular for such things.

You should totally go with what your brother wants...and what his fiancee wants...then pick a song to put at the end that both of them will like.

Don't pick a song just because it's on a list because it won't be unique-people will likely have heard it in the same capacity at a wedding.

That being said, Google slideshow+wedding+music and you're set. Smile

(But I think it's a tad bit more special and interesting for the audience if your brother and his honey are reflected in some way...)

Hey,

This is probably not appropriate for your slideshow but, I freaking LOVE this band and this song! So, I had to recommend it to you all. The video is kind of whacked, so just listen to the song. It's by a band called the Perishers from Sweden.

Come out of the Shade
