Hey everyone,
I play drums and I'm looking for a few guitarists and hopefully a saxophone player and piano/organ player who might be interested in starting a Dick Dale/Ventures style surf music cover group in Busan.

It know the style is a bit niche but I think I would be very fun and a change from the usually drudgery.

That style of music has caught on pretty well in the Seoul underground music scene, and there've been quite a few bands fitting that sound. The closest one to what you describe would be MR27, whose real name I can't spell out on this keyboard. If you were up here it would be easy to find musicians.

Sounds kewl. How about throwing up some more song ideas? I play bass and my band seems to have gone belly-up, so I'm champing at the bit to play some more. PS: More songs!

For your own information, here are a couple Korean bands playing that sound.

I love surf music. Once you get everything together and get a chance to make it up to Seoul, give me a PM and I'll try to get you a show.

I'm seriously thinking about ditching the bass and getting a cheap, piece of $hit guitar after seeing that last Dick Dale clip.

Wow I'd love to give it a go on guitar with you, but Daegu's probably too far. Great idea though, and I'd def come see a show.

Deagu is kinda far, but I'm not sure how long it takes.
I live in Haeundea. I have a small kit at my place. Maybe we could jam on the weekends?

Sorry man, it would take a couple of hours each way to get door to door. Best of luck tho.
