Actually the idea that any multinational media corporation is "left wing" is fairly ridiculous. Perhaps some journalists working for them, but editorial control will almost always be fairly conservative.

Fox News Jokes About Killing Obama

Except for the clip of the person joking about killing Obama, these all came up on the first page of a YouTube search for "Fox News".

-Bill O'Reilly Laughing

Compared to media in other countries, the New York Times is not left-wing. It's liberal at best. The two are not the same unless you are American - but that's another discussion

I REALLY think people who think that FOX ISN'T BIASED, simply are people who DON'T WATCH the news.

Throughout my entire lifetime, the major news networks have always had 30 minutes of news...about half of that is reserved for SPORTS and WEATHER.

The other half consists of about 8-9 top news stories...plus one fear-mongering one like how your infant could suddenly be abducted somehow. Of the top news stories, about 75% are devoted to killings and murdering and other crime. The one POLITICAL one is almost always the latest poll numbers...and that is about IT.

Supposedly, according to FOX, they counterbalance the other news networks which are pretty much NONEXISTANT on political matters.

So why is Fox News right wing whereas the NY Times is liberal?

I can't understand why so many on Dave's are so worked up over Fox News. Turn off the TV!

The thing is, is that it isn't news. It is just hours of toothy blonds with big *beep* feeding editorials to their stupid consumers. There is no "today in the Congo etc etc" but all editorial. Really stupid editorial.

They are going bat shit crazy over this manufactured and fake Acorn controversy here. And this is massively hypocritical.

Frankly I'm not impressed by CNN either, and when I watch BBC news nowadays I have the ghastly feeling that I'm watching playschool. It seems to be BBC policy that all newscasters sound 'nice', 'chatty', and 'friendly', with the effect that you feel like a small child being talked down to.
