Has anyone ever done CELTA in Seoul. Where can I find information on dates and fees? My internet search keeps coming up with everything but what I'm looking for.

I took it in Seoul at TTI. It's also available in a more downtown location at the British Council. I took it and found it a great experience.

I heard the CELTA doesn't get you a pay increase in Korea. Is this true?

Is there any certificate that will?

And how long does the program take?

Sorry to sidetrack the question, but just a comment.
I took the CELTA at International House in Bangkok. Of 9 of us in the Celta course, 3 were from Seoul. No other 2 were from the same place.
It's just a thought. Maybe there's even a price difference to help offset the travel cost.

it may not "get" you a pay increase... but it will probably get you a better job and therefor a better paying job.

not so much from a korea basis i.e. courses run in Korea
OR other tefl qualifications specificallly to work in S korea
but I personally have a recent reply from a person of a advisory committee ( of a TEFL course)... who states the merits of the TEFL varies from country to country.
This person mentioned above, stated also he had only seen evidence of what happens on the course in Calcutta. That was quite impressive but he was told that other countries don't always achieve acceptable standards.

He said also that the CELTA has greater acceptance.

Everyone I know with the CELTA and DELTA (they all seem to have both) have their MAs. These credentials set them apart from the other MA applicants when they go for jobs because they demonstrate committment to professional development.

And don't forget that these are the people helping out during the hiring process at their top schools, too. If they have to choose between someone with similar degrees and experience, they'll go with the one with more buzzes and whistles every time. Ok, unless the applicant is a total ass.

If you're planning to work in Korea long-term, don't waste money on a CELTA. Few Koreans recognize its value. Do a distance M.A. instead.

Like I said, the CELTA/DELTA are great as augmentations to the MA. Do the MA by all means.

Had no clue that place was doing it. I'd always heard the British Council was the only place in Seoul. Did you ever mention that before?

I mentioned it before here around the time when you childishly accused me of faking my KEI-TEFL online certificate. How you never backed off that untenable claim even after I posted a photograph of my certificate, I don't know. I still don't know why you attacked me about that.
