|
|
I heard there is a free Korean class run by volunteers at Sookmyung Womens University on Saturdays. However, I tried searching the net and can't get any relevant results.
Does somebody here go there? If you do, help me out please.
I want to know what time the classes begin and end, and where they are held on campus. I'd also like to know if I can just walk in this Saturday or if there is some type of registration required.
Cheers |

I'm not positive about this but I think there is an ad in the Korean Herald for this. The pink paper. Near the personals. |

They can be found in a building next to a public school across from some sort of walled in compound. I know how useful that is, I hope someone can be a bit more specific They were from 4:30 to 6:00 when I took them (about a year ago) and you can join any week at any time. There is a curriculum but it's set up so you can go in at any time.
Most people there hated the first level, but the second and third levels (the ones I studied in) were pretty good (for free). |

It's 4-5:30 now.
Your best bet is to go to the station by 3:50 and watch where the foreigners are going. Non-GI's, that is. |

i have been going almost every week for the last 4 months. i have missed the last 2 weeks, but as far as i know it is 3:00-5:00. i see that website says something different, so if they changed it in the last 2 weeks, its news to me.
the say to get there: sookmyung station exit #10. when you get to ground level, turn around and walk the opposite direction. it immediately curves right, and you will pass under a bridge. when you get tto the other side of the bridge you will come to an intersection. cross the intersection and start going up the hill. you will walk up the hill for about 10 minutes. you will eventually get the school, and you should cross over to the left side of the street. go in the main gate on the left, go up the stairs, then there will be another set of stairs about 50-100 meters ahead of you. go up those. walk ahead and turn right when you can turn right. the building will be the last on the left. |
