Just want to know what posts have been informative to you and in what way. What things have you learned here on this forum? Anything enlightening? What posts would you consider as being of value, and why?

Not that I'm looking for any acclaim or any critical remarks about the stuff posted here. I just want to know if anyone here has learned anything, if they've found something of help or encouragement here, and if they haven't, what would they like to hear more or less of?

I think some of the political disputes about Iraq and American Policy have been helpful to me. But I'm also sick of it.

More knowledge about understanding Korea and Koreans would be helpful to me.

I've learned that not everyone feels the same way about corn on pizza.

I've learned that dating bartenders doesn't bring happiness but on the other hand it provides loads of comic relief for strangers on the internet.

I've learned that posting your real name, primary email address, your picture, and/or your website here can be a very very bad thing.

By far the most helpful posts are Waterbaby's FAQs

Nothing as far as I know except for a few guys putting things like "All Koreans suck dick" etc. in the guestbook comments a couple of years back. I haven't updated the thing since 1999, and it's just a free geocities webpage anyway, so I decided there wasn't much point in putting a link to it. [i.e. My learning regarding websites etc. came more from observation than personal experience.]

I came to the board when I had already been here two years so I didnt' look to the board to learn stuff. I figure I live here, I don't need to go to a board to learn about Koreans, and if I want to go deep with the culture I read a book. I study the language and go with a K girl, that's about as deep as I wanna go. Politics bores me silly.

The best thing about this board for me has been meeting Itaewonguy and Eamo ...

I learned to not reveal to much personal information on a message board because you never know what kind of twits are lurking around.

Good lesson. This is why I won't go to any of those "gatherings".

There are a few people from this board I wouldn't mind meeting, but I'd say a one on one type meeting would be best.

I just learned a lot of little odds and ends pertaining to work or legal issues for foreigners living in Korea.

I read everything Walter Mitty says with reverence. I learned a lot about gaming in general from his posts.
