I'm desperately trying to find a flight home for Christmas. . Has anyone ever booked a flight through Expedia.com?
The one I'm considering involves changing airlines at least twice, does anyone know how much of a hassle that will be?
Before the flames begin- I'm not doing a runner, I've got an unexpected month between contracts. |

| use a travel agent in Seoul, there are a number who can do it for you and much cheaper than through expedia or any of the other online services |

Travel agents in Seoul want me to stick with one airline all the way. That's impossible because Air Canuck is the only one that flies into my city, and it's booked up for days after Christmas between any airport in Canada and Incheon.
The cod are reserved for visitors, but I'll try to bring back a bottle of screech, a cod and some peppermint knobs for the next gettogether.
Screechins on request, and I've gotta prove to Waterbaby for once and all that they aren't a figment of my imagination |

Have you gone directly to Air Canada? I have always had great luck by going into their office.......Line 2, Exit 7......walk straight a couple of minutes. I think it is the Shinhan bank building. You might also want to JAL. They sometimes have some good flights to Canada. Personally, I find that travel agents in Seoul SUCK.
Good Luck! |

I have nothing constructive to add here, (sorry Peppermint) but I'm feeling a tad homesick today as my family will be gathering around a turkey in T-8 hours and counting. So I hope you get to see your family over Christmas. |

| I've booked with Expedia before. It's pretty hit or miss. Sometimes they have pretty good prices. However, the computer program finds different ways between two cities, and in the process it often books a bunch of different prices for different legs, making the price for a flight with 2 stops astronomical. Unless it's a good price, I would try a travel agency instead, unless of course there's nothing else available. Then I guess you don't have much of a choice. |

Yahoo Travel is pretty good as well (though often overlooked).
Although, I think there is some kind of law about buying tickets from another country if its different than your country of origin (that you are flying from).. if that makes sense. Supposedly they can technically deny you, or so I hear anyhow.
I agree TOPS Travel is tops for travel in Seoul. I use the one in Jongno nearly everytime. |

Thanks for the heads up on credit card laws tiger, Expedia won't accept cards from outside of the US for flights anyway.
A million calls across the world, two travel agents a few sleepless nights and I've got tickets home! WOOHOO!
ANy requests for North AMerican stuff? Can't promise anything, but I'll try.
(lot depends on how generous Santa feels) |

| I booked my flight home for Christmas about a week ago. I just typed in "cheap flights from Seoul to *wherever you want to go*" on google. It will bring up a few different sites, like expedia, that will compare prices for you. I ended up going with continental airlines the whole way because it was the cheapest. It cost about $1,700 return to Nova Scotia. |

That's tigger's shtick- always has been, though I think he's slipping a bit, he usually resurrects better threads than this one. |
