Gawd I love winter "vacation" here.... I've now got more classes than ever before!

The boss tells me on Wednesday that my new winter schedule, which was to begin on Monday, shall be given to me on Friday.

Then things change around.... the new schedule starts on Friday, and you'll get your new schedule on.... Friday. Be at work at 11:00am.

I get to work at 11:00am, and look at my new schedule. My first class has apparently already begun, even before I've walked in the door. Thanks, boss.

So not only am I not worthy of any advanced warning as to what my schedule looks like, but apparently I'm being told in an indirect way that my teaching requires ZERO prep work, that I'm basically just a dancing clown.

Once again, thanks boss!

Schedules are one thing I have never had advance notice on. I go back to work on Monday, and I still don't have my schedule.

They just told me what time classes start and to be there a bit before.

At least I have my lessons planned for the month!

For my Winter vacation it's off to my home town of Miami on the 22nd, and then Pattaya for 2 weeks in February.
Classes begin in March.

I'm never told anything ever by anyone until long after it happens. This is why I don't bother to be a teacher (also I'm working under the table by the boss's request so I have even less motivation). I give the kids their books and have them open them so it looks like we're doing something. Then I just play with the kids and give them games and then word search puzzles that I copy when the boss is out driving the bus. Those puzzles have gotten me through 7 months so far at this school. If they finish the puzzles early they write the puzzle words a bunch of times on the back of the paper. Then at the end of the day I stuff all these puzzles in my bag and hide them under my bed. I laugh at the thought of my boss finding them when I move out in June! He probably already knows. Whenever I go into the a classroom the kids cheer "assa! puzzle time!"

Seriously? My kids all want games too, but they're picky little monsters... if I give them a word search puzzle more than once a month, they're all sighs and moans...

"Teacher, game! No, different game! No, not that one, a different one! No, not that one either!....."
