...would you? That is 11/12 hour days.

Assume it is two jobs, all legal, close together, lunch hour and free lunch provided, in generally enjoyable working environments.

I'd do it for 2 or 3 years and save aggressively. You can possibly save close to 200K USD, if you're good with your money. Anything longer than 3 years I'd for sure burnout.

...Like a fat woman at a buffet table.

I used to work a 14-hour a day job (6 times a week) for $900 a month!

It comes out to about 30,000 won per class. I'd take it.

YES! I'd sign up in two seconds, of course I'd have to schedule some occasional naps and crying sessions though.

I don't know why I ask questions that I already know the answer to.

Well, looks like this will be my life, for better or worse.

done it, and it's amazingly hard. even if the lunch is provided and the jobs are relatively stress-free, keep in mind that it's still a LOT of work. the first few weeks i kept trying to think positive, then i realized i was slowly losing my social life. scratch that. quickly losing my social life. got burned out and wound up downsizing after a few months. still made good money, but had more of a chance to socialize.

(the potential for this to work out very well also depends wholly on the hours you work. if you start in the mornings and work until the evening/night, it's more likely to be successful, in my experience.)

does it? then count me out

i make 2.5 mill teaching 20-22 hours a week which is 28,000-31,000/hour

if i'm not making more per hour then it's not worth it

it's easy to save a lot of money without trying anyways in this country, even with bus travels, love motels and korean restaurants every weekend

believe me

I couldn't. 11 or 12 classes a day. Those classes would be shit. I could do it for a bit, but to know I am doing a shit job professionally for 3 years, even for good money, is not possible. That's just me though.

"IF?" When it happens please let us know. Remember 7 million isn't what it used to be here in S. Korea, DUH!

If you won a million dollars what would you do?

I'd do it in a heart beat as long as the work places were somewhat organized. A badly organized workplace can take years off your life.
