So I'm editing some children's books from australia and one of them continuously uses this instead of "rode".
Like, "I went up on a horse".
WTF is this? |

| Maybe they meant "got up" or "climbed" on the horse. Or maybe "went up" is just an Australian phrase. |

| That is easy....you go up on horses, down on people, and rode is used for both...this book should be burned for the filth it is! |

I thought horses were mounted and ridden. |
