Alaska...because it's the furthest away from Missouri and Kansas. Well, I guess Hawaii is out there also. |

Florida because it's warm and has many good beaches, and the women don't wear too many clothing items. |

Never been, but of the Americans I've known I liked the Iowans and Minnesotans the best. |

I love Savannah, so it would follow that the whole of Georgia isn't half bad. I love the character of the place, and tend to think that people are properly living their lives, not just hashing through them.
Cape Cod in Massachusetts is up there too. I like the windy chilly beaches of the Northeast.
Also, I'm fond of Vermont. I spent many summer vacations heading down to ski.
I could do without the whole of modern Florida. Just one massive car park. I wish there were time machines for those purposes. The place was like Mississauga with bloody palm trees. ick. |

North Carolina. I like the mountains in the west, the beaches in the east, and the biches in the west and east. NC's cities are very nice and the small towns are even nicer. I like the weather in the western part of the state, but it's a little too humid on the coastal plain. |

In order of preference: California, New Mexico, and Missouri. Have not been to Washington and Oregon. But I have a strong feeling they would appear on my list, just after California, too. |

Virginia
you have the beach, the mountains. Everything in between.
Its in the heart of the Atlantic cast so NYC, Atlanta, Charleston, Philadelphia, etc.. are all in close distance.
You want historic sites? Jamestown, Yorktown, Williamsburg, Appomattox, Mt. Vernon, Monticello, Richmond, to name a few.
You want shopping? Potomac Mills is one of the biggest outlet malls in the country. You want cool stuff to see? Arlington National Cemetery, the Pentagon, the FBI headquarters, Newport News.
What about food? Virginia Smithfield ham, Virginia Peanuts, Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs, Ukrop's Fried Chicken.
You like Scenery? See the Blueridge Mountains, Luray Caverns, The Natural Bridge.
You are a military freak? Visit VMI, Newport News shipbuilding, Andrews Air Force Base, Quantico.
Plenty of places just to relax like Smith Mountain Lake. If you like horse racing you can come to Colonial Downs. You like theme parks? Kings Dominion, Water Country USA, and Bush Gardens is here.
In my opinion, Virginia is the MOST historic state in the US. It is the most beautiful, and the most fun. |

I'm from NY, so I have to say that state. Upstate NY, the Adirondacks and whatnot = the most beautiful place to go hiking. I guess all Northeast states would be my fav, but I really love Tennessee and the Smoky Mountains as well. |

I've only been to six states, but South Dakota was easily my favorite.
Beautiful landscape, expecially in the south west of the state. The Badlands, Mount Rushmore, various odd shopping strips, Corn Palace, Hot Springs, Sturgess with the bikers, ect....the place is amazing and has a lot to offer.
If any of you ever get the chance to go there, go! |

If it counted, Puerto Rico, but it doesn't so, as a toss-up between the few that I have been to (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, NJ and NY), I'd have to go with Michigan. Spent some nice time around there years ago. Some really nice spots around the shores of lake Michigan. |
