I'm searching for a new MMORPG. Thought I'd start a post to share my experiences. Feel free to add your own experiences.

Flyff: Unable to Register: "We are sorry. We cannot provide service to customers in your region."

Perfect World International: Unable to Join: "Our sincerest apologies, we cannot provide service to players in your region."

Gunz: Was able to Join and Download and Update. But when it came time to choose a server I was redirected to the Korean website.

LastChaos: Was able to Join and Download and Play. It gave a good first impression.

Cabal: Was able to Join and Download and Play. Its going okay so far.

Fiesta: Was able to Join and Download and Play. Its going okay so far.

use a proxy so they think ur in the states...or wherever

I play alot of games, that i either use a proxy for sign up purposes or get a mate back home to sign up. Most things ive tried only have a check on the sign up, get around that and your sweet as korea doesnt have bad ping even back to NZ.

Eg You cant sign up for english wow from here, its the korean version, so i got a mate to sign me up and im away...

Eve-Online has had me completely addicted for the past 5 years....still can't shake the cravings to play. It's every kids dream space game.

Yeah, EVE or Warhammer are your best bets right now if you're looking for quality products. I've yet to play a Korean MMO that wasn't an unimaginitive grind-fest.

MMorpgs are such great waste of time... You spend money you invest hours and what do you have to show for it?? Nothing if you cancel your account not even a save game.. Half the time Mmorpgs feel like god damn second job.

some people have fun when playing them MMOs, while others like the companionship with others. Then for the dedicated few, it's that position of power for being the top player (skill is measured differently in MMOs).

EVE is easy to play here. Just grab the client and your up and running. There is quite a large Korean community too. I don't play it anymore though, it just isn't the same game anymore. It's no longer the edgy game it once was, instead it's a pimped up car ride. But it might suit some.

I've never heard of an MMO that deletes your character. I'm a chronic MMO jumper and any time I've come back to a game, all my chars and such are still there (even after officially cancelling the account.

If I had a better computer here other than my laptop I brought with me, I'd probably pick up and start another MMORPG. I've always loved those types of games because I like the social interaction. I tried Warhammer Online before leaving the states, and I didn't like it mainly because it was badly designed from the perspective of communication with other people in the game. Good pvp game, but that didn't really keep me wanting to play more.
