Anyone out there working here or used to? Can you give me the scoop on the position as foreign "professor" on the credit based courses?

RUN the other way!

I didn't work there, but I interviewed with them. Their head teacher is one of the most belligerent FTs I've ever met. If the FTs are that bad, imagine what the KTs must be like.

I've seen their ad on Dave's quite frequently. They obviously have trouble finding / retaining foreign teachers.

Agreed.
I had an M.A. friend who worked there. She quit after 2 months. We worked at Daegu U togther for a year, before they built the new dorms and offices... and that was a craphole. So, goes to show you what Kyungbook is like.

I concur with the posts above. Although I never worked there, I knew people who did. The claimed to be overworked especially for a university position. But, all you have to do is look at their ads to see what conditions are like.

The students are great. I'll repeat: the students. Overzealous libel laws discourage me from relaying my other thoughts on KNU- but that in itself should say something.

Unfortunately what I've heard is much along the lines of the above. It's a shame because they have several of the most interesting foreign professors in Korea (Garrigues and Finch) and a lot of great students, including some of my former HS students.
