This is what separates the men from the boys!

Hockey players are arguably the toughest in sports, and this hit is a microcosm of precisely why soccer will likely never have a serious following in North America.

I like soccer (football) and grew up playing the game, but despite my passion for it, one does get tired of seeing players rolling around the pitch like they've been gutshot because an opposing player brushed by them a tad too close.

So...got any hard rocking hit clips?

Both sports are shit nowadays. One actually hopes for fights or nastiness between players instead of feats of skill (which actually says alot about it's viewers too). The other one has people winning not by skill but by rolling around on the ground hoping for a penalty kick.

Not sure about that. Rugby League players are pretty damn tough and they don't wear armour.

am i the only one who doesn't think that that hit (from the OP) was very big? i mean, he was already against the boards, and his shoulder (not his head) broke the glass. scott stevens' (in)famous hit on lindros was much harder and more devastating. plus lindros is a big guy.

I would be rich if I had a dollar for all the times I heard this come out of an Aussie's mouth.

Many sports are tough except those poofters playing soccer.
I had to listen to some Pomme tell me how much hockey sucked the other night. I was going to smack him but thought it would be sad to watch him role around on the casino floor looking for a call.

How about boxers? I'd bet they can look after themselves too.

Is that it?

The guy who got hit just skated away.

This is what separates the men from the boys?

Yeah right. Maybe that's why Canada are shit at rugby.

... and aussies, kiwis, brits, and south africans always clean up at hockey.

i'm confused: what was the guy who got hit supposed to do? roll around on the ice trying to draw a foul? punch out the guy because he made a clean (albeit hard) hit?
