The clocks in the UK went back an hour today. Do the clocks go back here any time soon? (I couldn't find any info on google)

No.

As I understand it, Korea tried Daylight Savings Time years ago, but it was a failure.

I believe they have not renewed the idea, because people like to sit and watch Korea sparkling in the dark.

They did it for the '88 Olympics. They also did it in '87 as a run-up / practice to get everyone used to the idea.

And yes, it was deemed a total failure and buried quickly.

On a further note, the United States also used to end DST on the last Sunday in October, however it is now the first Sunday in November. So on Sunday November second at 3p.m. local time the difference will go from -13 to -14 hours to the Eastern U.S. time zone.

It's so damn confusing, some countries change their clocks, while others don't, while some lag behind and eventually alter their time a week or two later.

I hate daylight savings time. If you want more daylight, wake up earlier. All you have to do is set your alarm earlier.
