My new public middle school last week asked for photocopies of my bank book. As a compromise, because I didn't have my book with me, I typed my full name, the name of my bank, and my account number. I wasn't paid.
We all know that in order to tranfser money into your account, there's nothing more needed. The school just wants more for whatever intrusive reason.

For you middle school teachers, what documentation did you have to provide?

If anybody knows if there is a legal reason for asking for a photocopy rather than just a number, please post here.

In addition to my bank book, my academy said they needed my arc for tax purposes, but I think they were just stalling because it's been a week since I gave them those, and they still haven't paid me.

I can completely understand the need for the ARC, but if you're still a week late on pay, it's time to tell your boss you're going to file a complaint with labor.

a little off topic for your question, poet, but - immigration says that an ARC is NOT required for you to be paid by your employer if you possess your E-2 visa. those who have just arrived have 90 days to get their ARC, and can be paid without it. (my experience dealing with immigration and my employer.)
