|
|
So I missed it last year as I'd only been here a couple months. This time I can't let that happen. That's why I'm trying to find it now, so I can reserve myself.
In the collective opinion of ya'll where is the best Thanksgiving dinner in Seoul? I want all the fixins this year for sure. Or at least whatever we can find. I seem to remember the Hamilton having something. How is it? Any place else? |

Is anyone (not a military base) selling turkeys? |

I bought a turkey for Canadian Thanksgiving at Haddon market close to the UN village. Cost 60,000. but you can get boneless ones for 25,000. The full bird fed 10 people. I think the boneless can feed 4-5.
Let me know if you need details. |

I saw that they are selling turkeys at Youndeungpo (sp?) Costco for around 60,000 or so.
The next thing you have to think about is finding a place to cook it. |

Any place in Seoul having the big buffet on Saturday, instead of Thursday? It's not a 4 day weekend in Korea unless you're associated with the American military. I went last year to Busan Seamans club on the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was fairly good. |

Home, my wife and I always make a scrumptious baked meat and cheese lasagna Christmas eve and pig out the whole next day. Screw paying 300,000 to eat at some K-hotel. I didn't come here to put money in the pockets of Koreans. |

Haddon House Supermarket is different from Hannam Supermarket. Haddon House is nearby Oksu station (up the hill), but probably easier to find if you go to Hannam-dong, walk up the twisty road past the embassies and the UN Village, and when the road starts going downhill again you'll find it in the basement of a building of shops on your right (look for the sign). Haddon is bigger and the selection is better. |

I just made reservations. Starts at 6, and is 35,000원 per person. Not sure about the menu, but I'ma give it a try regardless. Not too much, and a bunch of good recomendations. |

A couple of years ago I had US Thanksgiving dinner on the Military Base in Seoul. It was through Onnuri English Ministry Church, though you don't have to be a member to do it. Anyone know if that still exists? If it does, it's a great deal, 25,000-ish for an awesome buffet. |
