Thanks for that post. Some great stuff on his website, especially the comments. Many completely BAFFLED educators on there giving him their prayers! People from around the world who has studied stuff on Education and Teaching are responding.
Very interesting comments.
It would be interesting if Republicans actually researched and studied about Bill Ayers and his role and ideas with Education. I would LOVE to see EDUCATION taking a prominent role in the election issues. It'll never happen though, it is one of those ignored issues while smear tactics and defending and damage control often take center stage instead. |

The 60's Generation had some truly passionate people who opposed war and all it's ugliness. I was a young teen then and remember well the protests. We saw them on the news every night right after the seemingly ceaseless war reports and returning coffins. The ones who refused to go, who chose to let their voices and actions be known were just as much heroes to many of us--for the courage of their convictions.
Obama's mother too was very close to the war action. Only she was helping to build social justice in Indonesia. Not with bombs, napalm and agent orange. That's called doing the right thing.
I wouldn't care if Obama and Ayers already have a plan outlined for how to reform NCLB and the whole US Education system. I can see where Korean ESL teachers could even contribute since being in the midst of one of the world's highest rated should be giving you all some great insights and experience. Good jobs to come home to one day.
Next Wednesday, let the symposiums begin. There's mucho work to do.

I have close friends that are truthers too. Such is life. Taibbi wrote a whole book about how crazy they, and their right-wing religious equivalents, are. |
