Talking about how bad it is in America, check this out:

A total of 43,182 students are classified as credit delinquents this year, far higher than 3,726 in 2007 and 670 in 2006, according to the education ministry.

And the recession hasn't even started yet! Shocked

That's an insane increase of delinquencies. Compare just 3,726 last year to 43,182 this year. That's like 1058% increase! Doesn't sound possible, but I guess it's not a typo, is it? This means Korea is in big trouble too. Something really bad is going on in the job market and economy over here. These sorts of things really don't surface until after it's happened.

However the government is trying to help out though we already know no government can fix the mess going on in the global economy today.

Like America, Korea is facing a credit crunch meltdown. It is a global financial systems crisis. This is our biggest threat to national security for most nations.

If college-aged kids start giving you mean looks out of the blue, you know what to blame it on. Wink

I have actually had a couple conversations with young Korean guys in the last month that recently had to drop out of college due to financial difficulties (mom and pop's problems I should say). And yeh, they definitely seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. Having worked nights for six years to get my own college degree I really don't have much sympathy for them however.
