I'm thinking of Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and Michigan.

If you want to go somewhere you better buy your tickets fast.

The longer you wait, the higher the prices will be because of peak season high demand.

Tickets to the Philippines are running over 800,000 won with tax included for those leaving in December.

So Summer is peak season and now you're calling peak season again? Summer's gone away. When does this peak season nonsense stop?

There are actually 4 peak travel times, 8 shoulders and a few lows.

Peaks are focused around Chuseok, Solnal, summer and winter PS breaks.

Shoulders are the 2 week periods before and after the shoulders.

Low seasons are the rest of the year.

Cheap seats from Oct 15-Dec 1.

Shoulder Dec 1-15 and peak travel Dec.15-Mar.3 with shoulder pricing during the 1st two weeks of Feb (when school is in).

Cheap seats should run again from mid March till July 2009 (always subject to the fluctuation in the currency).

I got 3 seats to Cebu (direct flight) for a November departure for under US$800 and one way tickets are usually 75% of round trip.

If you wish, contact 서봉균 ( Jesse ) from MODE TOUR Travel Agency in Changwon. Her email is 서봉균 <[email protected]>. She was very helpful AND between phone/fax/e-mail there is no reason to go into the office. Book the ticket, pay by bank transfer or C/C and get your e-ticket.

Oh yes, right, the low seasons and shoulders are the times I don't have time to fly away. My time is August and during either January or February.

I went to Thailand last January and February and it didn't cost too much. I had a one way from Korea to Thailand and then to LA for 1 million Won. Round trip would had been 1.4, roughly speaking.

I'm looking to go to Istanbul but it's hard to make sense of the prices. I'm not sure if I can afford it or not.
