I'm speaking from a male perspective - I am a dude. Just like pink, I guess if you are judging my comment by the avatar.

I think men (all men around the World) should have to go through courses like anger management, family care etc, and come out with a certificate of fitness.

This study is only relevant when compared to rates of child abuse for Korean children. This is yet another example of improper and rather meaningless research results produced in Korea.

Yes, over 18,000 abused children is a lot. It may be more or less than Korean children. Honestly, no one can say that things are better or worse here until Korean children are included into the study.

Think about it. You are the worst person ever. That is a valid statement as long as I don't compare you to anyone esle. The moment I compare you to someone else, then that statement may become invalid. It's called a control in research.

I am aware you are "a dude" and have been for some time. The question (I'll phrase it differently without the sarcasm) stands. Why should men have to take this and women be exempt? If you Google you can find a good number of women who have hurt or killed kids. True, statistically it is more likely to be men who do this, but statistics aren't much comfort to those kids who suffered harm at the hands of a woman.

If we must have a test, I'd suggest something along the lines of a "parenting license" for BOTH people. Not that I am in favour of such, but it seems like the lesser of two evils, plus it might catch more people than the one you suggested.

So.... why don't we just blame it on the flawed idea of intercultural marriage, rather than the male doing the abuse?

I think that what they mean is looking to the welfare of the children means setting up places like women's refuge etc.

Korea sort of broaches the topic of having all men go through a system, something that gives them their place in society, but it is a military system.

Considering how many women abuse their children, that's a ridiculous statement. Don't you remember that movie "Mommy dearest"? I believe it was based on a true story. What about that mother who put her child in some cage. I remember seeing in Japan some guy who ran off with his kid, because the mother was horrible to the kid, and the kid couldn't stand living with her. There are dysfunctional men and women out there.
