I don't think it's racist to vote against Obama and to be against his policies. I think his policies suck (though not as bad as McCain's), and I'll be voting for Charles Jay. I wish former porn actress Marilyn Chambers would've been Jay's running mate again, but with or without her on the ticket, Jay seems to be the most pro-freedom of all the candidates and also wants the smallest government. So, he'll get my vote.

I don't think the GOP has a monopoly on racism, and I think racist Democrats "voting white" is why McCain is dominating the former slave states.

But my earlier post pertained to Republicans who are going to blame Obama based on race. You never see it on TV, but you can frequently hear Republicans here in the former slave states say that America will no longer be great if Obama gets elected. They try to draw a parallel between the USA and South Africa & Zimbabwe. They say those countries were prosperous under white leadership and that blacks have ruined those two countries, and that Obama will do the same to America. You hear a lot of crazy stuff like that and even worse down here (after the person saying it looks around first to make sure there are no blacks around to overhear it).

The economy is screwed, but it's been a bipartisan effort by Democrats and Republicans and not caused by any one race.

Democrats blame it on Republicans. Republicans blame it on Democrats. A lot of people blame it on blacks.

Interesting. So how exactly have blacks been culpable in this issue?

I'd also be interested in hearing what the 'rationale' for this argument could possibly be (even though it'll probably make the headache I have right now even worse).

Seems like he's not bothering to reply. Probably a good idea.
