| Hi guys, I just received a position in Daejeon and am trying to get all my paperwork in order. Today I went down to the local Kinkos/Fedex and made some high quality, poster paper color copies of my diploma. After I made the copies I asked the girl at the counter if I could get them notarized and she informed me that it was illegal to notarize color copies of diplomas and that she shouldn't have allowed me to make the copies in the first place. Have any of you ran into this problem? It's not a big deal if it is, as I made some black and white copies as well. I'm just reluctant to get the color copies notarized somewhere else and then have those copies rejected by the Sec. of State when I get them apostilled next week. Do Korean schools care if the apostilled copies are black and white? That just looks so unprofessional. Thanks. |

Illegal to copy money ... never heard that about a diploma.
Korean schools (read immigration clerks) don't care whether is it color or B&W as long as it has the apostille.

That's a new one. I had color copies of mine notarized and apostillized with no problems.
I wouldn't spend a lot of time being concerned about professionalism in Korea though. |
