Steven Colbert talks to Brian Moore, the actual Socialist Party of America's candidate for president. Very Happy Not only will you find out Obama is a capitalist, you will discover why the Socialist Party is not a major party.

Watch it on the Oct. 28 Colbert Report.

Some of you might also enjoy Steven's 'interview' with Sherman Alexie, author of 'The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist Fight in Heaven'. He gets off a couple of zingers on Steven, which few guests manage.

I think the jury is still out on this. Sarah Palin has said many many times that Obama is a socialist; Brian Moore denied it only one time. They both said it on TV where all truth is revealed but Moore is actually a socialist and should know. At this point the evidence seems to be: Yes he is a socialist 60%; No he isn't 40%.

Sure he is. He's paying for the denunciation. Makes sense, actually.

That's funny...I just read one of Alexie's young learner novels. Seemed like a cool cat to me. Huh.

In European politics Obama would be on the right, and a long way from the left.

If you enjoyed that novel, you might like "Reservation Blues" (from the back cover:)

One day legendary bluesman Robert Johnson appears on the Spokane Indian reservation, in flight from the devil and presumed long dead. When he passes his enchanted instrument to Thomas-Builds-the-Fire--storyteller, misfit, and musician--a magical odysssey begins that will take them from reservation bars to small-town taverns, from the cement trails of Seattle to the concrete canyons of Manhattan.

Actually, that's the one I just read. Good stuff. I wrote a (rather unimpressive) paper on it.

Poor Junior.

I think he's a stronger writer when he does short stories: Lone Ranger and even better 'Ten Little Indians'.

What do you mean Barack Obama isn't a socialist? You mean McCain and Palin lied?
