I was at the Dublin at Seohyeon Station last week and noticed that Alley Kat comes in homebrew style, corny kegs. Well, just my luck I saw the beer delivery guy and he's hooking me up with a keg tomorrow!!! Because I am a lazy bastard, this is great news!!! Saves me trekking all the way there and 1,500won a pint.
Cheers to lazy fockers like me....
Edit: If anyone has a keg setup at home and is interested in some Alley Kat, let me know and I'll pass along the guy's contact info. |

About the kegerator......It cost me around 350,000 to build mine I think (can't remember exactly). Shipping the parts from the states was the most expensive part of the build.
I just got a call from the owner of Ka-Brew (the guy who imports Alley Kat). Apparently the delivery dude gave me the wholesale price. So the price went up and I must order 2 kegs at a time. Comes out to 290,000won for 40 liters....Thats getting a bit pricey. Still cheaper than the bar, but a lot of money.
It's the damn import tax that is killing me here. He said it's around 80,000won per keg!! I have been trying to buy beer malt in bulk and I recently found out that import tax on malt is over 260%!!!!!!!!!!! That is just fucking craziness.....
Anyways....I will have to hold off on the kegs of Alley Kat until some special occasion warrants me spending that much. Now off to think of what special occasion I can make up......
Happy Halloween everyone. |

Alley Kat is decent.
It's so hard to find a worthwhile hoppy beer in this country. |

You hillbillies enjoy your Bud Light now, y'hear? Leaves plenty of good beer for those who know what it tastes like. |
