|
|
So the weather is turning and I still wanna go around and see cool things even when its cold outside so I figured why not get a list of the "best of Seoul" jimjibangs and go check them out.
So if you will. Let me know where you've been, what kind of services they provide, and how expensive entrance is.
Since I actually wanna vist some of these detailed directions would be appreciated. |

The one people generally regard as the best is Dragon Hill, next to Yongsan Train station. Pretty sure that's the name of it. |

I like Dragon Hill too although the last time I was there it was very very dirty and the women's shower section smells like sewer. |

I've only been to a handful. Best one I've been to is near Hongdae.
Directions:
Go to Hongik University Station, exit the corner nearest Hongdae, turn so the big street is on your right, go down the street until you see the jimjilbang sign on the left. I think it's like 3-5 blocks or something. It's in the downstairs of a big new-ish building.
Edit:
I've heard the women's side isn't as cool as the men's side. Just so you know.

Hamilton Hotel.
Joking.
Dragon Hill next to Yongsan is the best I've been to in Korea. The outside pool is pretty wicked. Go during the week as it's stupid busy on the weekends. |

The Hamilton Hotel has "ONCHEON" water, which is sulfuric water and is great for your bones and muscles. You'll sleep well afterward.
The one at Hongdae is also good. There's a wedding display on the outside. |

I went to a nice big new one in Guro (I think). Can find out more details if that is near you.
I rate the boiled eggs very highly. And the ice room was fun |

The one by seoul station is good aswell. Cant remember the name though it begins with an "s". If you go to the tourist info desk and ask for the jimjilbang they can give u directions to it no problem. |

In North Seoul, I like World Sauna. It's the best one I've been to in Seoul and I've been to a few, although not Dragon, so I'll have to check that one out.
World Sauna is at Banghak Stn (Line 1) across the street from Lotte Mart. |

I need to check that one out as it has workout facilities, or so I have heard.
There is one at Sinjeong Station Line 5 that is good. |

i second World Sauna at banghak... i go pretty much every weekend with the guys from work, since we live/teach in nowon. it's cheap (only 7500 to get in) and the cleanest and biggest and has the most varieties of activities of the three i've been to. i also checked out Seoul Spa in haggye, and it was gungy, although i liked the actual sauna rooms. i also went to one in sinchon, i think. it was severly lacklustre, especially compared to World Spa. The patbingsu is the best, too!! the scrubby massage is only 12000, there's ping pong and a movie room and a gym and it's pretty rock solid. |
