Not a truth. An excuse from neo-cons.

A big reason times are tough is cause the US is at war. |
Yep, billions thrown away in Iraq. Which had nothing to do with 9/11.

There are serious consequences about not doing stuff about the enemy. 9-11 was one such consequence. |
The US had already been intervening in Middle Eastern affairs for decades. |

Really , R U saying that 9-11 didn't cost the US trillions in damage?

Sure but it didn't give up on the cold war. See South Korea. See that the Soviet Empire failed

The mideast had a lot to do with 9-11. The US never invaded Iraq to invade Iraq . The US invaded Iraq to invade the mideast.
The way the mideast was and is was why 9-11 happened.

The US certainly has ties to mideast nations. It certainly trades with them. It certainly buys oil from the mideast.
Why don't U give us your description of non intervention.
More than that you are coming close to echoing Al Qaeda's propaganda.
Al Qaeda blames the US for supporting "India's oppression of muslims"
Ought the US not have ties with India.
You don't know the difference between necessary and sufficient .
You are great at being critical so why don't you give us your list of concession the US ought to make to Al Qaeda. |

Man, you just listed the 5 most hellish countries in the world. You need to look no further in order to find examples of why socialism doesn't work. |
Really? What part of hell did you visit that it resembled some of the coolest places on the planet to live and work? 'Cause, the part of hell I've visited doesn't look anything like that. It looks like Mexico. Like Turkey, like the Magreb. It looks more like squalor and suffering and people begging to get the hell out it, out of it and into places like Canada, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.
(That unrestrained immigration in these countries could end up spelling the downfall of the systems is, for the moment, beside the point that right now, these are great places to live and work, by and large, with a higher standard of living than the U.S., where "socialism" is considered to be poison.) |

The early Christians lived communally and shared everything. |

You readily admit that these wars are all because the US doesnt have enough oil, so why trundled out the Al-Qaeda nonsense? |

I didn't say that the US wars are about oil. Of course the US needs oil . and enemies of the US aim to keep the US from getting it as weapon. But the US didn't invade Iraq to steal its oil or to control its oil.
It goes w/o saying that if the US wasn't dependent on oil the US would be alot stronger and the enemies of the US would be a lot weaker. |

Man oh man - your schtick is hard to figure out... Dude, you were telling me just the other day that the major factor for the recession was oil. Now, you're saying oil had nothing to do with the US presence in Iraq. So either oil is REALLY important, or it's REALLY not. Is contradiction really a helpful tactic in winning arguments?
And why the hell does the US have so many enemies, anyway? Maybe it's got something to do with occupying countries under false pretenses? Maybe?
I hate the US' politics and I loathe blind sponsorship for phucked up policies. Keep those patriotic blinders on, Joo. |

It does and it doesn't.
Oil is a reason for the US being in the mideast. But the US didn't invade Iraq for the oil but it does have ties and trade relations with mideast nations because of oil. Is the US wrong to do so? Ought Iran and or Al Qaeda have a say or even control over what nations (Israel / India / Saudi Arabia/ Kuwait/Timor ) the US can have diplomatic trade and military/ security ties with? Ought they have a say in how the US votes at the UN? Ought it do what Al Qaeda and/ or Iran demand?
It is in Iran's and Al Qaedas' interest to expel the US from the mideast so they can power project and control mideast oil. They want the US out of the way cause the US is an cbstacle to controling the mideast. They aim use that oil to break the US economy. Ought the US allow them to gain control or defacto control over oil supplies they have no particular right to? For instance Saddam and /or Iran had/ have no right to control Saudi or Kuwaiti oil. Ought the US just let Saddam Hussein have control over Kuwaiti the oil knowing full well that one of the reasons for Saddam wanted the oil was to blackmail the US?
The US was resented before the invaded Iraq and not only by mideast nations.
Alternative energy will allow the US to enjoy a strategic divorce from the mideast. |

because he's a commie muslim terrorist!!!
riiight ...
I'm not a U.S. citizen, and these are just my opinion, you agree/disagree/care/couldnt care, thats completely up to you - I'll respect that, I hate talking politic and was never really into it until this year's U.S. presidential election
and regarding that ~
like I said, I'm not a U.S. citizen, but I'm still insulted by the way the Republicans (and their friends/lap dogs) run their campaign
do they really think Americans are that much of an idiot? well, the way they've been talking and running their campaign, thats what I gather
almost everytime I hear McCain or Palin talk it's Obama this, Obama that - and they critized Obama for the same thing they themselves are doing!
I rather hear what they have planned when they're elected or what can they do, what makes them a great candidate -- but instead, they focus more on attacking Obama
and since Joe the Plumber got bombed, they now brought in 'Tito' the builder ... no relation to Bob the builder, except that both are fictional (at this point of the campaign, I conclude that the Republicans are going for the idiot votes)
could be true that Obama hasnt proved himself ... but to me, McCain and Palin already proved to be an idiot - and trust me, America, you do not want a no-class, idiot as a president (again)
the way Bush handle himself at some leaders meeting is an embarrassment to himself, to his people and to the U.S. - not to mention insulting to leaders of other nations.
I really hate the way they (the Republican campaign) take you guys (the citizens) as idiots, 'cause I know it's not true ... to some extent :p
as much as I like to see McCain be president just to see what kind of goof-ups he and Palin will do ~ you guys deserve better than that |
