Criminal charges possible in boy's Uzi death, Massachusetts authorities say
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Authorities in Massachusetts are considering whether criminal charges should be filed in the death of an eight-year-old boy who accidentally shot himself with an Uzi submachine-gun at a gun show.
Hampden County District Attorney William Bennett says he hasn't been able to find any law that would authorize a child to possess or fire a machine-gun.
Christopher Bizilj (Bah-SEAL) of Ashford, Conn., was trying out one of the weapons at the Westfield Sportsman's Club on Sunday when he lost control, shooting himself in the head.
An instructor was watching the boy at a firing range and the youngster's father was a short distance away.
Bennett says he's looking into whether anyone committed a reckless or wanton act when they allowed the boy to fire the weapon. |
Why are machine guns even allowed anywhere in our countries? Machine guns should definitely be banned, and anyone who says otherwise is clogging up the gene pool. |

Ask Ted Nugent. I'm sure he'd have an "interesting" answer. |

So young children are actually allowed to fire the kinds of weapons that soldiers train with in the military at these events? So much for the NRA claiming that gun shows are harmless. |

Allowing an 8 year old boy to fire a fully-automatic weapon. Smart! Criminal negligence resulting in death. |

It's a minor setback in the long term struggle to avoid having to live on nonviolent communes as slaves of a bureaucratic entity. |
