The first mention of the gepik appeared during the black plague. It was described as an ungly rodent like creature. It had ugly black hair and big fangs. It was decribed as knawing on the bodies of the dead. Charles Darwin described the gepik as the evolutionary ling between the rat and the squirrel. Neopolian enjoyed the flavour of roast gepik. In fact humans have been eating wild gepiks for centuries. Shakespear descibed the gepik as the pet of the devil. Gepiks can be found burried alongside kings in the Pyramids of ancient Egypt. The Gepik is mentioned in The Koran as food that is forbidden.
The gepik population was seriously decimated during the Great Depression as they were a great source of food for travelling hobo's.
It is believed that the ancesters of the gepiks were the first mammils to eat dinosour eggs and contributed to their extinction.
Gepiks were described in Dickens depiction of London. The Last of the gepiks died off in captivity in 1966 in The Smithsonian Zoo. |
