I haven't been viewing this forum for a few months but now it seems to be devoid of biting satire, juicy ad hominem attacks, and good old-fashioned sarcasm. In other words, it seems to have become rather pedestrian, no offense fellow posters.

To what might we attribute this apparent turn to verbal mush?

Or do you take exception to my observation?

To be honest, I kinda miss Steve McGarrett and I'd like to hear more from Gopher and Adventurer, although I'll admit the absence of jinju was no big loss.

Ah socky socky.

GOP socky socky.

Gopher has been representing full-on his Palinized makeover of the GOP that will be coming to get us (perhaps in just a couple of days Laughing ).

He also turned on Adventurer. I mean this in the most non-homoerotic of senses.

Jinju?

Wrong neighborhood. Despite apparently having peed on many a pizza elsewhere, he was a non-entity in CE.

You'd have known that if you'd spent more than a here-and-there round here.

So, to quote Stevie, buy a vowel and get a clue.

Take your sockiness back to OT and see what trouble you can cause there.

Stevie,

Cry us a river......

So what color are you now, now that you are in the middle?

Yellow, Red or Green? Condiment anyone?

Gopher is quite active, and always interesting.

Actually I kinda like it right now. Prior to the last few months, it always seemed like a JOO RIP infestation, which is never a thread that is interesting to read much less participate in.

You mean he actually used to post more often than now? Does he actually have a job?

I think he goes out with the Bush Administration, unless there is a McCain Administration that keeps him on...

Isn't he employed by the government in some kind of capacity in the pro-war propoganda wing of it?

Igothisguitar said the same thing. Well there isn't that much difference between your and views and his anyway.

We have less than a week now. Would you care to tell us, one more time for posterity's sake, what the REAL reason for the Iraq war was?

Well, I doubt that Tiger Beer believes Kissinger was participating in a satanic sex orgy while ordering the execution of Allende. Among other of IGTG's more idiosyncratic assertions.

Well let me steal a page from Mr. Obama: Tigerbeer voted with / agreed with Igothisguitar 90% of the time. Ron Paul supporters one and all.

He certainly didn't like it much when I posted the info that Ron Paul voted against every bill supporting alternative energy or higher gas taxes.

What he says against McCain is far , far harsher than any criticism that I leveled against Mr. Obama. For the most part except for one topic I have pretty much stayed away from being critical of Sen Obama. I can't be cause I don't know enough about him to know what kind of president he will be. Most of what I post is about Iran or Al Qaeda or the reasons for the Iraq war. To Tigerbeer To him posting stuff critical of Iran or Al Qaeda is propaganda - but being critical of John McCain or Bush is questioning is the government and furthuring the cause of democracy.

Some people would prefer that some topics just be supressed. I am not one of them.

I never saw that one. But I would love to get the cite. Do you recall what source IGTG posted when he alleged that particular gem?

I am not familiar with IGTG postings that well, except that he/she is a bit extreme leftist, right? And a bit of a paranoid individual, right?

IGTG is one extreme, Joo Rip to the other extreme...I am just in the middle trying to balance all our extremists on the board.

I usually am not that critical of leftist extremists on the board because they have absolutely NO POWER POLITICALLY whatsoever. I have criticized paranoid IGTG posts, but he spam posts back, so I just ignore his/her postings altogether.

Igtg was an extremist but then again you supported the same candidate he did . Remember Igtg was a Ron Paul supporter just as you were.

Talk about extremism look at how you tear into McCain , far worse than anything that I would even think about much less say against Obama posts against Iran or Al Qaeda seem to upset you.

And remember Ron Paul voted against every bill regarding alternative energy but you had no problem supporting him despite that and you weren't happy to see that fact come out. Supporting a candiate who is against government support of alternative energy. What kind of concern for national security is that?

I think you and I just approach 'support' significantly different. I notice you support Bush 100% with ZERO questions on any aspect.

For me, I find some things I like and some things I dislike about ALL politicians, parties, people, etc. I happen to find less things to dislike about Ron Paul then George Bush, significantly less things. But it doesn't mean I agree with ALL THINGS Ron Paul believes in, as I most certainly DO NOT. But okay, I do like SOME of his stances on SOME things. Fiscal conservatism has ALWAYS appealed to me, for one.
