school problems ( yet more) at new school

cOULD anyone please confirm

Arrow If a school director.. has to legally pay into the Health ins.
ie employer and employee at 50 %

Its very very unclear onb the wording on my contract

this month and my first payslip - I have only had deductions
for Income tax- no others ( as far as im aware)
soooo does this possibly mean Im not covered at all right now !!

What is or isn't in your contract doesn't actually matter on this issue. By law the employer has to pay 50%. If you're unsure you could go to a clinic - invent a problem like you want a prescription for sleeping pills or something minor - and then have them contact your school to see about payment. Then you'll know exactly what the procedure will be if you need something very expensive.

YBs' advice is a good way to force the issue with deliquent hagwon owners - just 'play dumb' when you do it.

You should also have a deduction for pension. Registration can be confirmed by a simple phone call to the National Pension Corporation.

No ARC = no medical or pension account yet.

If you already have your alien card and a bank account, but no deductions for health insurance, then your boss is breaking the law, and expects you as a foreigner not to know that. He doesn't expect you to go on Dave's ESL and consult with other foreigners.
