Because our boats floated away after our fruitcake anchors dissolved off the grand banks. We followed the GPS transponders here and the Koreans are holding our boats ransom. We have to teach their kids English for at least a year. Laughing

The other day, I was in Seoul hanging out with some folks that I'd just met when a Newfie happened by. I had a good time talking to him but the others hung back. Afterward, they told me that they didn't talk to Canadians. I told them that if I didn't talk to Canadians, I would have 25% fewer people to talk to in the small town where I teach.

"you would talk to a tree, wouldn't you" was the reply.

Yes, as a matter of fact, if trees started talking tomorrow, I would talk to them and make friends with them.

but I sorta prefer a pineapple upside down cake over a fruitcake, does that make me prejudiced?

There are some pretty old trees out there. If they could talk I wonder what they would tell us.

Why did you choose "fruitcake" as your nickname?

used to work at a restaurant that listened to the Jerky Boys a lot back in the kitchen.

plus, when I was playing Unreal Tournament, I picked that name due to a hint of a psychosis (not gayness).

nothing to do with Christmas cake
