Hey Everyone! Its been one month into my English teaching experience here in Korea and I've realized that I really want a English Korean Electronic Dictionary. I just think it would be helpful in learning the language, and I would have something to kill my time when i'm on the subway. I would actually like one that can speak (korean and english) and maybe even play mp3s and mp4s, but maybe thats wishful thinking. I've been looking around at different places but I figured the vets here could give me some useful advice on where to find a reasonably priced one. Im not really looking to spend more than 100,000krw but I'll go a little higher if I think its worth it. Thanks for your time!

Andrew, I have a Casio English-Korean dictionary that is very compact and in perfect condition. It doesn't do any fancy features like sound or mp3s, it is a basic dictionary. I bought it because of it's compact size. What you want, with sound and Mp3 player, retails for over 200,000 won.

I'm willing to sell mine as I use my phone dictionary now. It retails for over 100,000, I bought it for 80,000 on sale and will sell it for 50,000. It comes with a protective case, has a full keyboard on it, does English to Korean, Korean to English, a Webster's dictionary, a TOEFL dictionary and a thesaurus.

Well, that's a very cool offer for your Casio dicitionary. Do you have any pics? The thing is I have no Mp3 player and instead of buying two separate things I was hoping to buy one of those PMPs that combine everything into one. Maybe the speaking/voice part of it is not that important. What do you think? I've done a little research on a few brands like Atree, Nurian, Aonepro, and Istation but I'd rather here from somebody if they have had specific experience with any of these brands. I'll take other recommendations too! I found this one on Gmarket. I cant read Korean yet so Im having trouble deciphering its exact capabilities but I think it does everything I want it to do. At the end you see a little picture of "ABC English Korea 12$" under the list of capabilities. Im assuming maybe a english and korean dictionary and if not, it says it has ebook capabilities. Maybe I can download a korean-english dictionary ebook to the device. Appreciate any help or advice. thanks

I bought the Cowon D2 PMP (4 gigs) yesterday. I paid 180,000. Think I overpaid after seeing this.

It comes with a Korean - English / Eng - Kor dictionary. Audio pronunciation is only available for English words. I am happy with the dictionary. (Preinstalled and free)

It also plays videos, radio, TV and has a microphone.

I am currently frustrated with how the Cowon imports music. Things are not getting organized and I have been trying to work with it for a while. I am hoping that I am just doing something wrong at the moment.

I regret not buying an IPOD touch a bit. Internet is the ultimate application. Not sure what connectivity is like on them in Seoul, but the Internet is the greatest dictionary in the word.

Ok, this is really cool too, Blink. Thanks! So I'm guessing despite the way it imports music, you really like it? It looks super cool! It seems kind of bulky though. Do you find that to be the case? Oh and does it have like a notepad or memo application where you can just type or write? And it doesnt have a slide out keyboard right? Its just all touchscreen correct? Thanks man!

Hey, I have a D2, too. It is a little bulky, especially when using the plastic protection case (which comes provided), having said that you wouldnt have any problems putting it in your jacket pocket. I guess with the case its about 1 and a half cms. It is touch screen - i find typing a little tricky because of the size of the thing. The best feature for me is battery life 52 hours (music only) and audio quality.
Lastly, I've only had mine a few days and i'm having some trouble syncing movie visuals and audios, im hoping to figure this out soon.
For the price i recommend it.

If anybody sees any cons to this one, please let me know. I don't think it has wi-fi so that's kind of a con, i guess. Compared to the iTouch at least.
