I went to the Overseas Vote Foundation website for the free FedEx shipping, and it says:

I just sent mine in the day before yesterday via EMS (express mail), because I would have had to find the FEDEX, and it's not very close to my place. The Korean Post Office is close, so I sent it. Why did you wait so long? If you send your ballot using EMS, it might make it. I know mine will make it for sure. |

| I'm kind of pissed because my ballot never arrived to me at all. I applied for it at the beginning of October, before the deadline for applications, or so I thought. |

If you did order one, and it didn't arrive, you can still vote.

Well that sucks. Don't know how I missed that. In Washington state it has to be postmarked by the 4th, but doesn't have to be received until the 25th. So still worth looking into for anyone that is on the fence.

| any ballots received after nov 4th don't actually count. they get put in the state election records, but the prez is announced asap after the polls close on the 4th...unless there's some drama like florida, but other state votes are still tallied asap |

Mailed my absentee ballot application in September. Asked them to PLEASE mail it 3 weeks in advance instead of the 2 weeks they ususally do. A couple of days ago, I found an email in my spam giving me info for how to vote. Sheesh....no time to do it now and have it count!!!

If you registered too late, you're not alone.
I got my ballot in the mail today.
When I mailed it back, I told the girl at the post office I wanted it to be sent the fastest way possible.
She said, "How soon does it have to get there?"
I said, "Tomorrow."
She said, "It will take three days."
I said, "Send it anyway."
So at least I tried to vote.
What do you think?

| Oregon was pretty good about mailing out ballots six weeks in advance. I got my ballot around September 21st and mailed it a week later. At this point if you haven't mailed it, I'd try to fill out a Federal Absentee Ballot. |

No, you are not. If you have requested a ballot, but did not recieve it, you can vote by several methods I linked to above.
However, it IS too late if you are not registered yet, or did not yet request a ballot. |

I sent my vote in by EMS on the 29th of October. It arrived on Saturday.
I expect it will be counted, because it's not election day until tomorrow.
I hope my vote will be counted along with the votes cast on the 4th of November. I know my vote won't affect the outcome of the election, because Texas is a very red state, but I still think the popular vote is important, and that every vote counts whether you are a Republican or a Democrat in a state that doesn't quite vote the way you want, in general.
Yeah, at least, you tried to vote. I think it's important to vote.
I also think they need to make voting easier for everyone. |
