I need to get money out of my Royal Bank account from Canada. Can I do this at some bank machine using my Royal Bank card? If so, anyone know where to do this in Busan?
If not, can I get the money using a Visa? (I can pay this with my other account.)
This is related to the McDelivery Sucks thread. My wife will kill me if she knows I bought McDick's for my students. I'd rather prance around the city looking for an ATM than tell her. She wears the pants. Just help marlow not die.... |

Go to 7-11... not any other convenience store or mart, 7-11 specifically. On the bottom right of the screen of the ATM, there is a button for 'foreign card'. I have successfully used my Royal Bank card at several 7-11 locations in Busan. |

I don't know what part of Busan your in but if your near Seomyeon, the Woori Building take foreign bank cards as does the SC thats near it I believe. It's on a corner... near Exit 5, but that puts you on the other side of the street, you'll need to cross the next exit from it.
I know most KEB Banks have a foreign ATM machine.
Hope this helps |

Sweet. So it gives you Korean won at approximately the current exchange rate, and shows up normally on the bank statement?
Where's a 7-11 in Busan? I'm serious. Convenience stores all register the same in my geographical memory. |

I've always used my Royal Bank card in KEB ATMs. Hopefully that will work for you. I used my Royal Bank Visa in KEB as well. The downside is the interest starts on your cash withdrawal as soon as you take the money out. The bankcard would be a better choice. Good luck! |

I'll try the KEB just to be on the safe side. Unless I find a 7-11 on the way. |
