So anyway, first his card machine won't take my Visa card. Then he doesn't have any change for my cash (hello? ever think your electronics might fail?). To top it all off, the Sprite tasted like crap because the ice all melted, and the fries were starting to get cold. At least the students were happy to get food instead of work.

That's cool, I never seen fast food delivery. I wonder how far they'll go? How much does delivery cost?

Here's a little about it in Seoul.

http://www.fatmanseoul.com/2008/10/06/mcdelivery/

You'd think he's carrying 20,000 Won worth of cash to make change, but this is the digital age where every one has (you're supposed to) E*cash in the form of a debit or credit card. I don't guess my Nonghyup ATM card would work as stores won't take it so I too would have to pay in cash.

That sucks you had to pay like 4 or 5 thousand won more.

We don't have a McD's where I am, but if we did, I sure as hell wouldn't hump 13 burger sets up to my Hakwon when I'm supposed to be teaching the kids I'm also feeding...

Tried McDelivery last night (cheeseburger craving) around 12 midnight.

Operator said there would be a 2.5 hour wait on all orders!?!? ... so I didn't order anything and went hungry instead.

Delivery time estimates are grossly overstated. You can usually divide the estimate by four. They do this to slow down the business a little and not piss the customers off I imagine.

I've never had a delivery time over 20 minutes and have been quoted an hour to an hour and a half many times.

Unlike the OP I've had nothing but good experiences with our local McDs. I guess it's much like any where there are good and bad locations. Which location did you order from?

Got McD's a couple nights ago and it was hotter and fresher than when I get it myself and take a cab home. Scooter guys are crazy and got my food to me hot. The no change thing is weird though...I tried to pay for my 9,100 meal (I was either that hungry or that drunk) with 10,100 to get a bill back, but instead he just gave me 900 won and took the 10,000 bill. Weird.

Maybe they're like NYC cab drivers and don't want to get mugged carrying cash?

Seriously though, talk about fat, fat, fat, fat, fat, fat. Better yet, learn how to cook.

I tried Mc D's for the first time ...

Wow, that bulgogi burger rocked my world. At first when I bit into it I thought I had eaten a giant onion...

Luckily about 7 hours later after the club we tried it again, on a mild buzz. The hash browns I'm happy to report are in full formation SIR!

Pancakes are with much dissapointment.

My next venture will be into the chicken burgers, and I think saw a commerical for teh quarter pounder.
Anyoen confrim this?

For all the posters that are spectacular at reading comprehension, I'll repeat that I was ordering for students. They didn't want Korean food or pizza.
