My kitty who is about four months old won't stop peeing on my bed and on my MIL's bed. In fact, my cat peed on my MIL's bed for the last three days straight.

The thing is there is only a short window of time for the cat to pee on our beds as I always close the doors before we go to work and the cat can't go inside. She only has the morning, when we are preparing for work, to pee. But she manages.

I've googled it. It seems there's a spray to remove the odor of pee but I can't seem to find it in Korea. Also there are matts to prevent cats from entering rooms. Does anyone know where I can find these things?

This is the first time I've had such a problem because I've always lived in places where pets can go outside. Has anyone had a situation like this before and solved it?

Any advice would be helpful.

Here's what happened to me: my cat peed on the bed becase he still smelled his old pee. (He'd done it once when we locked him inside too long). It feels like it's personal because it's your bed (or MIL's), but it's just habit/smell/territory. This is the new littlerbox for urine in certain situations.

Have you ever caught your cat doing it? Ours would wait until we left. Maybe it was being alone too long, but maybe it was from the smell of ammonia trapped in the bed.

Unfortunately, we had to buy a new bed. You might have to as well. When the smell of the old pee was gone, his habits changed. The smell of cat pee can never come out (in my experience).

You might want to think about buying a new bed or keeping the door locked. There's lots on google about this.

I love animals, but after the 2nd time this happened in my bed, that cat would be locked out of my room or enjoying it's new bed in an alley.

Cats go for anything they feel they can bury it in.

I think the best thing you can do for now is keep the door closed at all times.

You might try a mixture of vinegar and water in a spray bottle. The vinegar is supposed to dissolve the pee(enzyme or something) My wife and I rescued dogs in the US before coming here and when we had new puppies that would urinate on the carpet we would use this mixute and it really helped. Give it a try at least.

I am assuming you have a litter box? Maybe you should change the brand of litter. Some cats are very picky about how clean their box is or the smell. Our cat will dump on top of dump but we had one that was very picky and wouldnt use it unless it had been scooped.

Cats don't like water nor getting wet so you can pee your cats head when he's guilty. You can use a spray water bottle or just pick him up and give him a swirlie in the toilet or immediately get him wet in the sink. Their hate of getting wet teaches them well when they are screwing up and they learn pretty darned quick.

You want to catch and punish the bad behavior as soon as possible to send a message home in the cats limited brain capacity or he may already have forgotten about why he's in trouble if you wait. If this means jumping out of bed at 3AM as soon as you find wetness, then jump up and wash that awnry kitty.

Lock her in a different room while you're getting ready for work if it's too hard to close the door every time you go in and out of the bedrooms.
