ok so this might be a strange question and hard to explain.
1. i have an ipod that i wish to play on my tv
2. i have already researched this and it is possible with an av cable
3. i have said cable, and i am aware that when playing ipod through the cable you have to switch the colors because apple is tricky that way
4. i want to know if anyone is doing this or not because i still cant get it to show up clearly, its all blurry and no sound.
5. i think its the setting i have the tv on, but its all in korean so i'm mostly guessing at the correct settings. i can read dvd and av just fine
so, if anyone does this and had problems at first doing it on a korean tv please let me know.the other possibilities for making it work are buying an ipod dock, buying a dvd player and routing it through that. the whole point of me doing it with just the cable was that it was cheap and easy. but alas, not so easy. there is also a chance its my particular ipod generation. any info is helpful! thanks! |

Do you mean video or just audio? Video wouldn't work just through the output jack (I don't think). If you just want audio, shell out 20,000w and get some computer speakers from e-Mart. If you get some with a sub, thy sound half decent. |

video AND audio. this is the website where i learned all about it...
http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/mac/2005/11/18/video-ipod.html
so, it is possible, i do have speakers apart from my tv. but the video doesn't show. i just get black and white lines where i can sorta see that its playing. so, it SHOULD work with just the av cable. which is why i'm starting to believe it just doesn't work the same way on korean tv's. but then again, how different are tv's made? this is why i need help people! all i ever wanted was to download things on my ipod and lay in my bed watching it on tv. |

My coworker played his on an extremely cheap Japanese TV. A Japanese TV is not a Korean TV, but maybe this will give you some false hope. |

I've seen regular av cables work on some Ipods, however, with the newer generation, i don't believe this work around will be successful. I tried it many times on the ipod touch. just gave up and had to buy the apple composite av cable. it works great. |

yeah i've heard the newer ipod touches dont work this way. but i dont think mine is considered new. and i just refuse to pay so much money for a cable that is only different from the $5 ones because they are white and say "apple". i just figured at least ONE person out there has done this with a korean tv? of course, i'm sure not all foreigners are on this exact website. and thanks for the false hope, that helps me a little actually. |
