Nope, they've been suckered into the Obama "change" thing. Only, they don't understand that "change" does not mean anything positive for Korea. It likely means more taxes on their US exports, which is fine by me.
The Korean gov't has been working overtime this past week to pass the FTA... why? Because they want to be able to blame the USA for "not following through with it as it is" when Obama tries to change it. A lot of Koreans don't want the FTA as is, but they will vote for it now, assuming Obama will not allow it anyway. Koreans want to save face after the embarrasing meat protests. |

Honestly, do you ever have anything positive to contribute? Anyways you won't be raining on any parades tonight. I think I will go listen to Scorpion's Winds of Change on my mp3 player now and bring my happy self to the Obama victory party! |

Eight years of hearing doom and gloom from the left, and now the cry is to stop being negative. |

I work a public middle school and all of the teachers are all interested and all of them wanted Obama to win. We jokingly said Obama was the cousin of a teacher here who is Mrs. Oh.
One of my 7th graders wouldn't stop talking to me for 30 minutes about how much she likes Obama and the differences between Obama and McCain it was truly cute and she's a smart girl. |

It's been kind of frustrating, because I came in all excited about the change the United States is finally making, and they all acted like absolutely nothing about it was important, significant, or worthy of further conversation. Then they started talking about where to order kimche. |

That's more or less the response I had when my Canadians friends started talking about their election....my first response was "you guys have one going on at this time too?!?". |

Hell, even most of us Canadians didn't care about that one. Just another Conservative minority government. |
