I'm so busy I wear t-shirts in class and from class to class, in unheated rooms. The heat energy without in me could without a doubt power a few lightbulbs. |

I find the last two hours of each day pass by really slowly - unless I am lucky enough to find something like THIS! |

It is less than three minutes long. But then you have to google it to try and find out if it's a joke or not. |

haven't read your link yet, but I will. Came in to teach 5 classes today, but no-one came for my first two. Went to ask what was going on and was told the kids are studying for some exam. They could have told me earlier, right?
So, instead of 5 classes, I'm sitting doing nothing, waiting for 7:10, when I have to monitor a self-study class.
Yip, management. |

Do you have too much time on your hands at work? |
Loads. Too much really (14-hours of teaching in a 40 hour week). I'm studying and am free to do so at work, but with so much down time, I find I spend too much time fannying about doing nothing in particular. I think that you can have too much of a good thing and can easily become apathetic and disinterested if you're not careful. I think being busier keeps you spiky and much more appreciative of those stolen moments of 'me' time. I also think having more classes to teach keeps you on your toes a bit more. I think your lessons also benefit if you're already in 'teacher' mode rather than trying to switch back into it having spent about 5-hours of desk time in 'zone' mode. |

The life of a technical writer has lulls and has periods of being insanely busy. The nature of documentation is you can do a lot of prep work but at the end of the day developers radically change a lot at the last minute and 40% of your work has to be done in very short order.
The lulls are nice, however. |

i bought a similar book the other day call "do ants have arseholes and 101 other bloody rediculous qestions" it's a funny book and gives three responses to that readers have provided to the question asked
heres a great one from the book, where someone asked the question "are there any undiscovered coluors?
A "Simon Sayers from County Durham" excitedly answered: "By mixing blue paint and red paint," he writes, "I have come up with a wonderfully rich, regal hybrid that is somehow warmer and more mellow than blue, and more elegant than red. I call it 'Simon', because my name is in fact Simon." They let him down gently: "We're not entirely sure, Simon, but we think you might have made purple. Thanks for trying, though."
other questions included
When sign makers go on strike, do they carry signs?";
"If one synchronised swimmer drowns, do they all drown?"
"Why isn't there mouse-flavoured cat food?"
"Why is there only one Monopoly Commission?" |
