With all the visa changes, does anyone have experience getting the F3 visa? I'll be getting one for my husband and have heard I need the following.
My employment certificate
My tax certificate from http://www.nts.go.kr/eng/default.html
my ACR
photocopies of my passport with E2 visa
My passport
His passport
Marriage Certificate in English or Korean
Passport size photos attached to the application forms
Fee of 50,000 for change of status
Re-entry fee 50,000
And than to get his ARC, we need
Both our passports
My ARC
Proof of employment
Fee of 10,000
Am I missing anything? He has to apply for this in Peru, right? Or do I have to go to immigrations in Seoul and get it?
EDIT: WE've just been told that Peruvians have to fulfill extra requirements. He also needs
criminal background check
superiour courts check
letter of guarantee from me
in addition, all photocopies have to be legalised.

My employment certificate (just exactly what is this? A letter from my school? Just a simple letter with the school stamp?)
My bosss invitation letter for him (Just a simple letter with the school stamp?)
my ACR (a simple photocopy?)
photocopies of my passport with E2 visa
Marriage Certificate
Passport size photos attached to the application forms
His passport
Fee

There are 2 ways to get it.
1) you can apply for it at the SAME time that you apply for your E2.
You will need to present his passport and proof of the marriage (suitable for the local embassy) along with the application form, photos and fee.
The local embassy may also request other documents but I can't imagine what.
2) you come to Korea. You get your ARC.
You go to immigration to apply for his visa confirmation number.
You will need:
the marriage certificate,
proof of employment (certificate of employment - it is a standard document here),
copy of his passport and your passport,
some passport sized photos
application form.
Process is the SAME as indicated earlier in this thread.

The embassy in Bangkok refused to give my wife (Thai) an F-3 visa at the time I got my E-2. They said you must have an ARC card. I talked with them extensively about this. I was concerned because I was bringing her on a one-way flight.
She entered on a visa exemption. She was interrogated at the airport alone. She had a letter from my boss in Hangul explaining the situation. After 20 minutes or so, they stamped her in.
We went to immigration about a month later with copies of our marriage certificate and some other documents. We paid the fee. Her ARC and passport arrived in the mail a week later. |

Immigration at Incheon airport told my co-teacher on the phone all my wife needed were copies of my passport/ARC/school info(employment notice, etc. and she would have no problems. They never mentioned me having to go to immi before hand. She has all of this, but I would like to be sure. |

I forgot to mention my wife is Thai. We were married in Seoul, so our papers are stamped from the local gun office. |
