My hagwon contract expires in about three weeks. I would like to stay for a few more months, but I can't extend at my current school for less than a year. Would it be viable to either
A) find another job (full or part-time) to work for a few months or
B) go home for a couple weeks (Christmas etc) then come back for a few months?
Would it simply be a matter of securing an extension to the E-2? Or can only my current employer do that?

Thanks.

You can extend for 30 days I think, but this would just be a tourist visa. You wouldn't be allowed to work. All that has to go through the school.

You can either do that while getting paperwork ready for like a camp. Winter break is coming up, and you might just be in luck. You'll have to check the visa requirements, cause I think C4's are used for those.

Also, keep in mind March will be the new year for public schools. So, if you want to work another year in Korea, you might want to do that.
