So I pm'd DAVE as well as e-mailing him through this site. A couple days and no response.
I complimented him on the site and just asked him for an avatar. I also took the time to mention how a google search on the site might be help and politely pointed out that his ID id identifies him as Chef of this Cafe.
I was not being rude or impolite. I was very respectful.
So my question is... how to get ahold of him? |

I've PM'ed Dave in the past and have always gotten a reply. He's a busy man.
Regarding your avatar issue, you need a certain number of posts. I don't know the magic number, and I don't care to know since I am not interested in having an avatar.
Chef? As in chef boy-ar-dee? Well, there's already a huge banner on the top left corner with his pic on it...he doesn't look like a chef..but I'm sure he has no qualms about that. |

The number is 100, and he has more than that. |

Perhaps, by chef, you really meant to write chief. |

Umm...no I meant chef Click on sperling (next to forum guidelines) and see for yourself. Not that it is important, just a bit funny.
If someone pointed out how I could improve a website that made me income I would fix it and say thanks. |

I've got well over a hundred posts, I think it is safe to throw that myth away. I am allowed an avatar of 80*80 and 6kb, but they don't even seem to make avatars that ridiculously small. |

Size restrictions are NOT enforced, youll notice this if you look at other peoples avatars, some are stupidly big. |

With this Greasemonkey script I wrote (scroll down to "Option 3"), that banner changes to look like this, and is a link to a pop-up box that does a Google search of ESL Cafe.
