Does anyone know what "chin wag" means?

To wag your chin? Nod?

Share some amusing words/expression you've heard or been using lately.
Slang/sayings/idioms anything goes. Remember to define the word.

Lemme guess, you're a North American who is in his/her early 20s and is confused with accents since this is the first time in your life that you have heard something outside your native valley girl patois?

A 'chin wag' is a chat.

(ETA: as other posters have intimated, it's olde-tyme slang)
