I've never seen a man expose himself in my entire life, but I've seen it happen twice in the past few months here in Seoul.

Last night a guy was hiding in a corner with his pants around his ankles, calling out to people and doing a full-blown helicopter sunny. Gross.

Is this a common thing for Korean men? I've lived in big cities before and never had to deal with this.

Very common. He's called a "ba ba ri man". They are more or less considered a right of passage for middle school girls nowadays.

Haven't seen any flashers here or back home.
I have, however, seen a few passed out middle-aged men with their flies wide open and Gochu (고추) dangling out.

I've never seen any flashers here myself, but it is very common, as well as jerkers. Generally every girls' elementary, middle, and high school has a set of regular jerkers and flashers who show up. They'd obviously be labeled sex offenders in our home countries and likely beaten badly, especially considering they usually have a designated time and place where they'll always be, but here they're seen as harmless, and sometimes even considered a sign of good luck by the girls.

I've seen a lot of dick in Seoul due to the fact that men take it upon themselves to piss everywhere. Sometimes when they are very drunk, they piss on themselves. har har.

And I haven't seen a flasher here. I did see one in Taiwan. It was just me and him. Really scary. Luckily I was bigger than him.

I've heard that if you do see a flasher you shouldn't show any emotion. Just look at them like they are some normal everyday man. In my case I screamed my head off but I wasn't sure if he was a flasher or a rapist.

I'd assume it would be less common in a small town because you're more likely to be spotted by your wife's friend or someone who knows you. Still, I'd be surprised if your school had never had one ever. Chances are you wouldn't know unless one was showing up regularly and students started to talk about him.
