This uni has an ad on Dave's, and I'm thinking of applying. The pay is not great, but it offers 500,000 for housing and doesn't sound like much work. Does anyone know anything about this university? |

Cyber universities offer classes online, so I assume I'd be teaching classes online. I'm not sure what that entails, but it sounds like a nice change from the norm. |

HAHAHA Let's see what suckers they reel in this time. I truly feel sorry for anyone who chooses to work there. Good luck!
Just checked out the ad. Masters degree required for 2.1, including MINIMUM 24 hours a week of work. Guaranteed that more hours are expected for NO PAY (based on testimonals of collegues who worked there). |

It's not 24 hours per week. It's only 12 office hours per week, and the "cyber teaching" is done during those 12 hours. The only "real" teaching is on Saturdays for 2-3 hours, and it's only around 8 Saturdays per semester.
2.1 + 500,000 for housing= 2.6. Not bad for an easy gig with 12 weeks vacation. |

Well merrilee if you actually worked there, you would know the real deal. Trust me the 12 office hours you are claiming is bogus. The director (unless changed) is an emotional, unprofessional backstabber. The previous guy I knew who worked was used and abused (and took it like a trooper). Any "projects" they claim to have usually requires much longer commitment time then requested (unpaid I may add). However, if you are desperate and want to work in an unhealthy, unprofessional, disorganized environment as a workhorse, by all means . . . |

I'd be really curious to know who your friend is and who the alleged "backstabber" was. |

A university that teaches you how to cyber on the internet, obviously. |
