Anyone seen quinoa available around 'our country' here?
I just read about it. It sounds really interesting and I'd like to give it a whirl and see what it's like. I prefer to eat foods other than meat, and it seems to be really good in terms of iron and protein, which is great for vegetarians.

I always get quinoa and millet mixed up when just looking at them, but I've seen one of them at E Mart.
Both are really good, although I like millet better. Martha Stewart has some good quinoa salad recipes. |

It doesn't seem like quinoa's really caught on in too many places, even in California where I'm from, and you can find anything there. It doesn't take too long to cook and it has a nice nutty taste to it. I think it grows well in rocky mountain locales, so they should give growing it a shot here. |

I bought some at the Hannam Supermarket near Itaewon about 2 years ago. It was expensive, though. |

Does anyone know what it's called in Korean? I'm gonna check out Hannam Supermarket this Sunday to see if it's still there. I will write an update! |
