I'm missing Bush already. What will we complain about, and what conspiracies can we fill our time with now?

I was enjoying the Youtube stuff like, 'Was it really a 757?' and 'The Hidden Truth.'
Was enjoying at participating in the anger directed at someone whose family line deserved it.

Somewhat off-topic, but here is an article about how Bush is likely to be remembered (depending on what happens in Iraq down the road).

He'll miss him a bit, but as long as CNN, FOX, etc. are running 24 hours a day, he'll have plenteeeee of material. Laughing

And so hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths aren't enough to have him rot in hell and be forgotten?????

I think the guy is totally incompetent and I will be glad when he is gone. Watching him say thank you to the White House staff on TV was kinda sad today. At the end he started to cry and thanked everyone. Then he walked off the stage real quick. I respect him for his service to the country. He may have been an idiot but he stuck it out until the end through good times and a lot of bad times. I hope history simply remembers him as a country boy who got in over his head.

I am very happy to know he will soon be on the dustbins of the history shelves.

Well, as far as Bush, he did improve in the end, when he stopped listening to the neo-conservatives and listened to old pragmatist Republicans like his father, James Baker etc.... That's when things turned around. Bush has done somewhat well in the Middle East in the past year or so after doing a horrible job. We don't know how Obama will handle the region. It's not an easy place to handle. However, I think, as long as Netanyahu doesn't get elected things may be all right. I don't really think Canadians will really miss Bush except in terms of having someone they can attack and the same applies to many Americans. If things get better and better in Iraq, his legacy will look better, but he still launched war based on questionable "evidence", and he ignored what the weapons inspectors said, and his administration insulted key allies etc.... And the war cost too much money.

I think he means that it would have been good for Bush to have been shot by Cheney, thereby getting rid of both men.

Two bird brains with one stone.

Exactly.

But too bad you can't fit a sliver of paper in between the ideologies of Dick Cheney and Barack Obama.

All you lefties that have been calling the eeevil Bushie every name under the sun (and sometimes justifiably) are now going to get a long, well-deserved holiday. Now its time for the other side to poke fun at a president and watch you try to defend him. Don't get me wrong, I hope he does well, but when he doesn't, the right on this board will be there to call attention to every time he *beep* s up. Its politics, you understand.
