I think Dane Cook is one of the worst excuses for a comedian...
It's the worst pop comedy act I have ever heard/seen. At least Jeff Foxworthy could make me laugh.

The guy pretty much sums up Cooks act in 1 minute or less.
Andy Kaufman is one of the best comics ever. If you like Ali G/Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) then you would like Kaufman. Borat is pretty much a reinvention of a Kaufman character. (maybe even a rip, since I have not seen any credits or kudos given to Kaufman from Cohen)

Stephen Colbert gets my vote. David Cross is absolutely brilliant on Arrested Development, and what I've heard of his stand-up is pretty good too.
Did anyone mention Tracy Morgan? He was a bit weak on SNL, but pure gold on 30 Rock. Judging by the interviews I've read with him, his character (Tracy Jordan) is not too far off. |

The only person he really stole from is Jerry Lewis; a few lines from the Nutty Professor are littered all over "Dice Rules".
Best club comic out there is Dave Atell. |
